Clement Kiragu is a wildlife photographer and cinematographer, and a National Geographic Explorer from Kenya, whose work has been shaped by years of disciplined patience, resilience, and a deep curiosity for animal behaviour. Over time, this keen observation has strengthened his understanding of wildlife and informed his ability to capture critical behaviours and narratives that shape immersive natural history and wildlife sequences, including stories exploring human–wildlife coexistence.

His work has contributed to major natural history productions for PBS Nature, National Geographic, the National Geographic Museum of Exploration, and the BBC Natural History Unit. Having worked across some of Africa’s most remote landscapes, Clement’s work reflects an African perspective within global wildlife storytelling — grounded in lived experience, field preparation, and deep respect for place.

Today, his experience and storytelling philosophy guide the work of ClementWild Productions — an Africa-based wildlife production company supporting international broadcasters and filmmakers with specialist field production across the continent. Believing in the transformative power of photography and cinematography to shift perspectives and inspire future generations, Clement also leads wildlife photography expeditions and storytelling workshops for emerging visual artists, helping to nurture the next generation of storytellers and extend the impact of his work beyond the frame.
